• ตอนดม ใช้ขนาด size E , ส่วนตอน transfer ใช้ ขนาด CD

3.3. Adjustable pressure limiting valve

• spring-loaded pressure release valve

• APL ถือว่าเป็นอุปกรณ์สำคัญใน machine - ยกเว้นพวก Mapleson E,F

• การทำงาน , เมื่อ pressure ที่อยู่ใต้ disc มีมาก จะดันลมออกไป

• ปรับ screw ให้แรงน้อยกว่า 1 cmH2O ลมจะออกไป

• ป้องกัน barotrauma - ปรับให้ pressure ที่เกิน 60 cmH2O จะออกไป

• ตัวใหม่ๆgas ผ่านออกทาง 30 mm port ทาง scavenging

• ข้อดี คือ ใช้ PEEP ได้

• ข้อเสีย คือ ไอน้ำ อาจจะไปเกาะ ทำให้ disc ติดได้

• ไม่เหมาะในเด็ก เพราะ value - greate resistance

• เกิด barotrauma ได้ ถ้า APL value ปิดขึ้นมาเอง
